Job Description Lead and oversee the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise application systems to support business objectives. Define and implement IT strategies and tactical plans for application development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Establish, review, and maintain application development policies, standards, and procedures to deliver high‑quality solutions. Drive efficient system development processes and provide strategic guidance to project teams throughout the application lifecycle. Monitor and report project progress, resource utilization, and operational performance to senior management and key stakeholders. Act as a key liaison for technology‑related matters, communicating effectively with internal teams, senior management, the Board, and regulatory authorities. Manage and develop IT talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Conduct regular reviews of divisional workflows and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices. Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as required. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in application development across real‑time and batch systems, covering mainframe, mid‑range, UNIX, and PC/LAN environments—preferably within the banking sector. With at least 8 years in a managerial capacity. Strong knowledge of formal system development methodologies for mission‑critical, 24/7 systems. Familiarity with OLTP environments, client/server architecture, and J2EE frameworks. Proven project management expertise with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage. What's on Offer Competitive annual salary ranging from HKD 1,080,000 to HKD 1,560,000.
