Lab & Test Equipment Manager (Motor, Controller, and EV Products) CYC is a technology company formed by bike and MTB enthusiasts. We have an ambitious vision to reinvent electric bike systems. Our team includes young and talented mechanical engineers, industrial designers, programmers, and operational staff. Our offices are located in Fo Tan and Science Park (HKSTP). We are an awardee of multiple international and local start‑up competitions and are invested by previous DJI investors, including Brizan Capital, Hong Kong X technology fund (backed by Sequoia Capital) and CWB venture capital. About our company: We have started our electric bike system development 10 years ago, and already developed several popular electric mountain bike motor systems which were exported to Europe and USA. We are now a mechatronic company focusing on hardware and software development and are developing electric bike motor drive systems, precision gearboxes, controller systems, sensor systems, electric bike frames, and other mobility devices. Currently, we have distributors in over 20 countries all over the world and need more talents in the industry. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, hands‑on, and technically skilled Lab & Test Equipment Manager (Motor, Controller, and EV Products) to support our R&D and project development team . The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, a passion for problem‑solving, and a keen interest in design, manufacturing, testing, and system development . This role requires a practical mindset, adaptability, and a proactive attitude — someone who can learn quickly, anticipate challenges, and take ownership of tasks while working closely with the Senior Lab & Test Equipment Manager . A sense of humor, teamwork, and a genuine passion for engineering (whether in mobility, mechatronics, cycling, or systems) will make you a great fit Job Responsibilities Take full ownership of developing and optimizing automated test fixtures for IQC and OQC of motors, controllers, complete machines, vehicles, and components. Manage day‑to‑day lab operations and ensure continuous 6S compliance. Define test requirements, lead co‑development with external equipment vendors, and oversee the design, build, installation, and ramp‑up of test stations on production lines. Maintain close partnerships with equipment suppliers to guarantee 24/7 uptime; act as the primary escalation point for any breakdown or abnormal conditions. Drive continuous improvement of test stations to raise line efficiency and output; plan and release additional equipment in line with capacity forecasts. Support production managers across departments in controlling IQC and OQC quality for motors, controllers, complete machines, vehicles, and parts. Assist the motor production manager with prototyping, life‑cycle testing, and performance validation; analyze issues, coordinate countermeasures, and help establish robust QC standards. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above; major in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred. Solid experience with automated test equipment, industrial control, and QC instrument development processes. Working knowledge of mechanical design; proficient in SolidWorks, CAD, or similar tools. Willing to complete in‑house training to gain full understanding of all company products. Self‑starter with strong intrinsic motivation; able to advance projects proactively without close supervision. Excellent communication and integration skills; capable of leading lab teams, managing external vendors, and coordinating with internal departments to meet all testing requirements. Takes ownership—immediately assumes responsibility for any test‑station issues, drives vendor support, and ensures minimal production disruption. Able to break down high‑level objectives into detailed tasks and deliver results autonomously. Independent problem‑solver who can leverage internal and external resources to resolve line‑side abnormalities quickly. Team‑oriented leader who can delegate tasks clearly, manage team milestones, and ensure on‑time project delivery.
