For more information about the University, please visit Li Ka Shing School of Professional & Continuing Education (LiPACE) The Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (LiPACE) is one of the seven constituent schools of Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Originally established in 1992 as the Centre for Continuing and Community Education (CCCE) and renamed as LiPACE in 2000, it has carried out its original mission of serving the broadest range of learners in HK. LiPACE is now an established Vocational Professional Education and Training (VPET) provider of full‑time post‑secondary education and part‑time professional and continuing education as well as corporate training. At the same time, it advances non‑formal learning through its two flagship programmes for women and senior learners, the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (CBMP) and Elderly Academy at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (EAMU). Over the years, LiPACE has developed into an established and mature post‑secondary, continuing and professional education provider which makes an important contribution to the University. Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer (English) (LiPACE) (Ref.: 25002EA) Major Duties and Responsibilities Teaching English at Sub‑degree and Diploma levels; Undertaking programme/course planning, development and coordination (including work‑integrated learning); Planning and delivering student engagement, co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities; Assisting instructors in course preparation and administration, conducting tutorials, grading assignments and tests, and invigilating examinations; Engaging in professional/scholarly activities; Participating in School/University activities and administration; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (LiPACE) or his/her nominee. Candidates Native or near‑native fluency in English; A higher degree in English Language or a related discipline; Experience in teaching English as a second language preferred; Teaching/administration experience in tertiary/continuing education and/or professional experience in related subject areas preferred; and Good interpersonal skills. Additional Advantages Being able to teach other subjects at Diploma of Applied Education and Higher Diploma level; Possessing a recognised teacher qualification (e.g. BEd, PGCEd, PGDEd) / having completed the professional training programme for DAE teachers.
