Systematic Quant Trader

Our client, a world class electronic trading firm, is expanding its Asia presence and is looking for a Mid Frequency Equities Quant Trader. This is a brand-new trading team run by a seasoned veteran with a strong track record. Mid frequency would generally refer to intraday to weekly holding period. There are multiple headcounts where the person can sit in either Hong Kong or Singapore. Main Responsibilities Working alongside the team head on developing systematic trading strategies, with a primary focus on: idea generation, data gathering and research/analysis, model implementation and backtesting for systematic equity strategies Combine sound financial insights and statistical learning techniques to explore, analyze, and harness a large variety of datasets in order to build strong predictive models which will be deployed to the investment process Can work at a high cadence and develop a number of new alphas/research ideas quickly and effectively The ideal person would have Strong research and programming skills Working knowledge of Python/C++ and SQL are necessary High academic pedigree (top universities + some level of competitive recognition (ACM-ICP, Putnam Prize, IMO, IOI etc)) Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research using large data sets 2-8 years of relevant experience Nice to have LLM (Large Language Modeling) Strong candidates coming from big tech/ top AI firm with an interest in systematic trading are welcomed to apply too. #J-18808-Ljbffr
