Field Ops Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities The successful candidate will be a part of the Business Development Team, reporting to the Business Development Manager. The Field Operations Engineer supports the expansion of VISCOY’s market space in Asset Inspection, Monitoring and Maintenance (AIMM) through field operations (proof-of-concepts (POC), product demonstrations and field deployments) and applications development for products in our portfolio. The Field Operations Engineer is the technical expert of our portfolio of Robotics and Digital Technologies. He / she is empowered to experiment and push the technical boundaries of the technologies that we represent in the field. Asset Inspection, Monitoring and Maintenance presents challenges that require the cross deployment of multiple technologies and customisation to the local context to overcome. The Field Operations Engineer leads the field deployment of our portfolio of technologies with our customers with the objective of overcoming these challenges through the development of more effective, cost efficient and safer solutions for the customer’s AIMM regime. The Field Operations Engineer works closely with our Technology Partners and Customers in the scoping, testing and deployment of our products and solutions. He / she will be the bridge between technology and real-world applications in the markets that we serve. To be successful in the role, the Field Operations Engineer is also required to have a good understanding of the limitations of our products. He / she works closely with the Repair and Maintenance Engineer in trouble‑shooting, repair and developing the optimal operating parameters for the products in our portfolio. With deep understanding of technology gaps in AIMM, the Applications Development Engineer will be actively involved in scanning the market for relevant new technologies and developments. Technology is not bounded by geography or culture. The successful Field Operations Engineer enjoys the opportunity to travel and work in international teams with Technology Partners and Customers. The role will require the successful candidate to be proactive, possessing initiative, and a strong sense of ownership to take on and see-through projects assigned. He / she will need to collaborate closely both with internal and external stakeholders (technology partners and customers). Responsibilities Support the Business Development Team in : Development of use cases & applications for our Robotics and Digital Technology solutions in Asset Inspection, Monitoring & Maintenance Field Testing and Deployment of our portfolio of Robotics and Digital Technologies Solving AIMM challenges presented by our customers Be an expert of the Robotics and Digital Technologies in our portfolio To establish strong network, build close rapport and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Manage and execute assigned projects to achieve agreed objectives Expand our technologies portfolio by keeping actively abreast of latest / emerging technologies that is relevant for the company’s current or adjacent market space. Develop market intelligence relevant for the development of Business Development strategies.
