Contract Programmer

Project Nature (T26) Application system development, enhancement, maintenance and on-going support of web-based application systems. Responsibilities Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD. Assist in application system development life cycle activities including user requirement study, system analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and related system enhancement, maintenance and support tasks. Assist in on-going application system support and handle users' ad hoc requests. Assist in user requirement analysis and system design. Prepare system documentation, e.g. System Analysis and Design Report, Program Specification, System Manual, User Manual. Participate in various types of testing, e.g. system integration test, user acceptance test, system load test, performance test. Assist users in preparing testing cases for testing the system. Assist in user co-ordination, e.g. collaboration of user comment, suggestion. Provide application and technical support to users. Provide on-call support for urgent production system incidents during non-office hours. Undertake any other duties assigned by supervisors. Eligibility and Experience Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp: 2.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp: 2.0 Requirements Degree in Information Technology (IT), or equivalent. At least 2 years' post-qualification full-time working experience in application development. Good knowledge on PC. Possess good customer service, inter-personal, analytical and problem solving skills. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Good communication and presentation skills. Good working attitude and ability to work independently under pressure. Technical Skills At least 2 years' experience in IT Application Development and Management (ADM). At least 2 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MSS). At least 2 years' experience in Structured Query Language (SQL). Non-technical Skills 1 year's experience in working with the Government (GOV) is an advantage. Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent. At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
