Global Sourcing Manager

This role manages the sourcing team while driving supplier expansion to serve the US, UK, and EU markets . The Global Sourcing Manager will balance strategy and execution — scaling sourcing capability as new product categories and industry verticals are introduced, and ensuring a well-documented, efficient sourcing process that supports commercial and operational goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the global sourcing team, ensuring priorities, workload balance, and performance standards are met. Build a scalable team structure as product categories and sourcing regions expand. Coach and mentor sourcing and merchandising staff to strengthen supplier management capability and commercial rigor. Identify and onboard new suppliers best optimized to serve the US, UK, EU & APAC markets respectively focusing on both low-minimum, short-lead-time custom print production (Ecommerce) & Wholesale - Larger run packaging (B2B). Develop and implement sourcing strategies that balance cost competitiveness, quality, and flexibility. Oversee supplier qualification, negotiation, and contracting for new and existing suppliers. Drive sourcing projects from brief to supplier handover, ensuring timelines and cost/product specification goals are achieved. Champion the documentation of supplier product specifications, costing, and capabilities to ensure a single, reliable source of truth across all teams. Maintain supplier databases, pricing libraries, and category-level visibility for internal stakeholders. Support supplier evaluations and performance management to ensure ongoing cost, quality, and service alignment. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Category Planning to align sourcing priorities with product roadmaps and commercial goals. Partner with Product Development to validate manufacturability, material selection, and feasibility for new products. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure clear handoff into production and order management. Provide sourcing insights to leadership, influencing market expansion and supply diversification strategies. Process & Tooling Enablement Implement standardized sourcing processes, supplier data management, and documentation frameworks. Champion the adoption of sourcing tools and systems that support visibility, efficiency, and traceability across teams. Ensure the sourcing process is auditable, transparent, and integrated with the company’s broader supply chain systems. KPIs Specific KPIs will be agreed upon within 30 days of employment , but performance will generally be measured by: Supplier diversification and capability development Achievement of lead time and MOQ targets Quality and consistency of supplier documentation and cost data Team performance and process compliance Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder satisfaction Experience & Skills 7+ years of sourcing or procurement experience, including leadership of a sourcing or supplier management team. Strong understanding of custom packaging manufacturing and supplier development. Proven experience sourcing across multiple regions, ideally including North America and Europe . Skilled in supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic sourcing planning with hands‑on execution . Strong process orientation with experience in documentation, supplier databases, and sourcing system implementation.
