Implementation Analyst We aim to successfully assist in the management and implementation of a portfolio’s investment strategy. Implementation Analysts take responsibility for helping implement investment ideas, allowing investment management teams the time and space to concentrate on making investment decisions. Job Summary Implementation Analysts act as a vital link between Operations, Client Service teams, Product Management teams, and the Fund Manager. They work closely with the Fund Managers and Implementation Team to calculate and implement trades across all portfolios on the desk, maintain and manage cash balances, and ensure all trades comply with client/fund guidelines and in‑house compliance rules. Qualifications 2-5 years in portfolio implementation relevant experience Support and trust of Investment colleagues for day‑to‑day and ad‑hoc investment implementation Good knowledge of operational processes, business and market requirements Strong understanding of guidelines and regulations of mandates and funds managed by the investment desk Knowledge of regulations and execution processes for all markets included in desk strategies Well versed in the Group’s policies and processes, including for e.g. the Risk Event Reporting procedures Key Responsibilities Raise security & FX trades Work closely with the FMs & Implementation Team to calculate and implement trades Restriction monitoring ensuring all trades conform with client mandates and in‑house rules Maintain and monitor daily cash balances Cash flow management Monitor execution and settlement of trades Trade authorisation (for Time Deposit and Unit Trust only) Manage portfolio models Assist in resolving pricing and accounting issues Monitor portfolios for corporate actions, fund distributions and asset expiry Liaise with in‑house departments and third parties regarding trade monitoring and general portfolio maintenance Key Behaviours for Success Attention to detail – granular, detail‑oriented with strong mathematical and technical skills Strong time management – able to prioritise effectively and multi‑task Team player & relationship building – establish strong connections and work collaboratively within the Implementation team and with Fund Managers, Investment Product, Dealers, Portfolio Compliance, Performance, Ops & Fund Services teams Good judgement – ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and under pressure, able to exercise good judgement Reliable – sense of urgency, calm under pressure, trustworthy, disciplined, professional Good communicator – clear, transparent, detailed, accessible and empathetic Credible – good understanding of and interest in markets and instruments (inclusive of derivatives) Prompt and responsive – proactive and responds to calls/emails promptly About Us We're a global investment manager.
