Key Responsibilities Post-Trade Operations Management Oversee daily settlement and delivery processes for securities and derivatives transactions, ensuring completion within strict deadlines. Handle settlement operations for trades executed through internal wealth management systems and external fund houses, including instruction input, reconciliation, and exception handling. Manage settlement arrangements for cross-border and global markets (e.g., U.S. equities, Stock Connect), coordinating with overseas custodians and brokers. Client Asset & Cash Oversight Enforce the Client Securities Rules and Client Money Rules to ensure proper segregation and accurate record-keeping of client securities and cash. Supervise asset reconciliation for client accounts, ensuring alignment across company records, custodian records, and system records. Manage settlement-related cash flows, including payment of settlement amounts, fees, and financing arrangements. Systems & Process Control Act as a key user for settlement-related systems, overseeing system management and process enhancement. Design, refine, and maintain settlement workflows and checklists; promote automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational errors. Lead or participate in system upgrade initiatives and new IT projects related to settlement processes. Reconciliation & Risk Management Ensure accurate daily and monthly reconciliation of all settlement accounts (e.g., client accounts, house accounts), promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies. Identify, assess, and report operational risks within settlement workflows; develop effective mitigation and internal control measures. Handle settlement failures, delivery delays, and other operational incidents, coordinating resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Compliance, Reporting & Cross-Team Collaboration Ensure all settlement activities comply with SFC regulations and relevant exchange rules. Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and internal management reports relating to settlement and delivery. Lead and mentor settlement team members, providing professional guidance and training. Maintain close collaboration with the Trading, Compliance, Finance, and Risk Management departments. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related disciplines. Minimum 5 years of securities settlement and delivery experience within an SFC‑licensed broker or financial institution, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Professional Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of SFC regulations related to trade settlement and client asset safeguarding. Familiarity with settlement cycles, rules, and custodian operations across major global markets. Excellent reconciliation skills with strong numerical sensitivity, attention to detail, and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of working effectively under pressure. Soft Skills & Language Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑departmental collaboration skills. Proactive, responsible, and highly risk‑aware. Proficiency in Cantonese and English, both written and spoken; Mandarin is an advantage.
