Our client The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an Assistant Sports & Leisure Manager to join their team Are you passionate about sports and leisure management? What you'll be doing? Lead and inspire: Assist in leading, supervising, and motivating full‑time and part‑time staff to deliver exceptional service. Maintain excellence: Manage and maintain best‑in‑class facilities to ensure an outstanding customer journey experience. Build relationships: Develop strong rapport with members and handle complaints with professionalism and care. Drive improvement: Conduct research and analyze usage statistics to make data‑driven recommendations for programs and facilities. Ensure compliance: Oversee operations to meet Standard Operating Procedure requirements and implement safety measures. Contribute to growth: Assist in managing the department's budget and marketing plan to drive success. Optimize scheduling: Draft rosters for recreation staff and identify any irregularities for supervisory review. Manage sports teams: Take charge of the Club's official sports teams, fostering a spirit of excellence and community. Who are they looking for? Educational background: A degree in Recreation and Leisure Management or related disciplines, providing a strong foundation for this role. Proven experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in leisure or recreation fields, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage effectively. Leadership skills: Strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to interacting with customers and staff. Bilingual communicator: Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, essential for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Tech‑savvy: Hands‑on experience with MS Office applications to support efficient operations and reporting.
