We are now recruiting for a Talent & Capability Specialist in Hong Kong. About the role This role reports to the Talent, Capability & Resourcing Manager, who is based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, organisational ability and creativity, combined with a genuine passion for supporting colleagues’ development and driving high performance across the organisation. The candidate will work on multiple initiatives across talent, capability, resourcing and organisational design across all of our sourcing offices. They will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues from the wider Tesco business to ensure that feedback from our Sourcing function is heard at a global level. In addition, they will play a key role in bringing initiatives to life, including designing engaging learning activities, managing the annual talent cycle and aligning our recruitment and onboarding processes across all our markets. About the team The Talent & Capability team is part of the broader Enabling function in Sourcing and we play a critical role in shaping the colleague experience across Tesco Sourcing. Our purpose is to build capability, ensure fair and consistent evaluation, manage talent pipelines and deliver an inclusive recruitment experience for candidates. We work in close partnership with local People Service teams to successfully implement initiatives that support colleague development and organisational growth. In addition, we collaborate with external vendors to deliver high‑quality learning solutions and recruitment outcomes, ensuring our business is fit‑for‑future. You will be responsible for Learning & Capability Supporting the adaptation of Tesco Group resources into material that can be delivered ‘self‑serve’ in our hub locations, including for team events Providing relevant and useful capability content for colleagues Providing support for learning events such as team days, e.g. content curation / logistics Helping embed our leadership values and behaviours across Sourcing using thoughtful activities and gamification Maintaining education reimbursement records, training systems and learning reporting Keeping our ‘Warm Welcome To Tesco’ induction programme and other resources up to date and easily accessible Collating training needs analysis and insight from hubs to help build training plans Developing and improving tracking and reporting of training KPIs, including colleague feedback, to evaluate programme effectiveness and provide recommendations Talent Management & Succession Planning Supporting the management of the the annual performance and talent cycle Developing and maintaining the database of talent and succession insight Pulling together insightful papers on talent to support Tesco Sourcing Leadership decision making Collaborating with the People Service team to deliver group and local talent initiatives Resourcing Supporting the maintenance of recruitment tools, processes and documentation Assisting in onboarding process as required, e.g. setting up compliance training Managing relationships with recruitment partners day to day Maintaining the Resourcing tracker and quarterly report on KPIs Supporting the Talent, Capability & Resourcing Manager with any recruitment as required e.g. posting roles on job boards, screening and interview arrangement Organisation Design Owning the job description library, ensuring all JDs are up to date on the Tesco Sourcing SharePoint Supporting structure change projects by tracking headcount changes and costs, and handling key project activities and administration Overseeing reporting linked to headcount data including ownership of the OD master spreadsheet, updating structure charts and preparing the annual People Dashboard Behaviours Living our values, respecting other colleague’s views and cultural differences, helping to create a great place to work Collaborating internally and externally to foster efficient and effective working relationships Supporting and coaching new colleagues and others performing same/similar tasks, using my experience, knowledge and creativity Monitoring budgets effectively, always being cost conscious You will need Required Experience At least one year’s experience in one or more of the following fields: talent & performance management, training & development, recruitment or organisation design Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from data sourced from multiple channels Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of spoken and written English Ability to apply critical thinking and creativity to solve problems and deliver innovative solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Candidates with no experience, but strong academic backgrounds will be considered Preferred Experience Experience working in a global or regional role within an international organisation Creative mindset with a passion for designing engaging learning experiences for colleagues Fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua What’s in it for you Flexible working arrangements Life and Medical insurance coverage External Education Reimbursement Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full‑time Job function Human Resources Industries Retail Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Tesco Sourcing by 2x. #J-18808-Ljbffr
