The “Live Well, Die Well” Annual Conference & Grief Carnival 2026 is a professional and community event that explores end‑of‑life care, grief, inclusiveness and mental wellbeing. Project Details Dates: January 22-24, 2026 (support needed 8:00 AM-6:00 PM) Pre‑conference workshops and satellite events across the three days (Timetable to be confirmed) Responsibilities Support registration, guest check‑in, badge collection and queue management at the entrance Serve as Room/Session Host: usher participants, manage seating and coordinate with speakers and AV staff Facilitate and supervise the Treehole Phonebooth experience, ensuring smooth flow and providing gentle support as needed Participate in setup and teardown before and after the event where required What We Have Comprehensive volunteer briefing (online or in‑person in mid‑January) covering event flow, venue layout, assigned duties and key contacts Clear written guides including briefing packs, schedules, maps and role descriptions for easy reference All necessary equipment and materials: lanyards, registration devices, signage and stationery A volunteer WhatsApp/communication group for real‑time updates and support before and during the event Refreshments and designated rest areas to keep volunteers comfortable and energized throughout their shifts Certificate of Appreciation upon request to recognise volunteer service Why this is important The Live Well, Die Well Annual Conference & Grief Carnival 2026 supports Alongside Limited’s mission to promote lifelong autonomy, reduce stigma around death and grief, and create safe, inclusive spaces for reflection and support.
