Role Summary An Asset Management Specialist with proven IBM Maximo expertise to help our clients upgrade from Maximo 8 to Maximo 9 (and above) and modernize their enterprise asset management capabilities. The Specialist will lead and support technical assessments, upgrades, integrations, data migration, and post-go-live optimization using IBM Maximo 9. Key Responsibilities Assist clients in planning and executing upgrades from Maximo 8 to Maximo 9 or higher, including technical assessment, compatibility analysis, remediation, and cutover. Implement asset management modernization using IBM Maximo 9: configuration, workflows, escalations, automation scripts, security, and Start Centers. Optimize core Maximo modules (Work, Asset, Inventory, Purchasing; HSE/industry solutions as applicable) and enable best practices in EAM. Design and implement integrations via Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST/SOAP APIs, and message queues; coordinate with enterprise integration platforms. Lead or support data migration activities: mapping, cleansing, ETL, test reconciliation, and defect resolution. Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting across application, integration, and database layers to ensure stability and SLAs. Collaborate with client stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements, produce technical designs, and deliver quality releases. Prepare documentation: solution designs, configuration guides, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials; support testing and hypercare. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years of IT experience. Minimum 4 years of hands‑on IBM Maximo implementation experience, including successful upgrade(s) from Maximo 8 to Maximo 9. Practical experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST/SOAP APIs, and event‑driven integration patterns. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), SQL, and data migration approaches. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across application, integration, and database tiers; familiarity with logs and monitoring. Clear communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Maximo Mobile/Anywhere and offline capabilities. Exposure to MAS components (Manage, Monitor, Assist, Health, Predict) and containerized deployments (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
