The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) stands as a flagship Chinese medicine institution dedicated to advancing Chinese medicine in Hong Kong and is expected to commence operation in phases at the end of 2025. Established through a public-private partnership, the hospital is being constructed by the government, with HKBU appointed as the contractor in June 2021 through a tendering process. Subsequently, HKBU registered “HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited” as the operator in accordance with the requirements of the service deed, which is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of CMHHK. A hallmark of CMHHK is its integrated approach, blending Chinese and Western medicine to provide professional patient care. CMHHK will actively engage in various interactions and collaborate with the industry to promote the development of Chinese medicine across Hong Kong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and international institutions. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the health and well‑being of our community and create a brighter future Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to serve as the Senior Support Services Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager (Administrative Services and Human Resources). This senior role will oversee and drive key management functions within the Administrative Services Division, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Collaborate with the General Manager to define and implement policies and strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Administrative Services Division, including domestic support services, procurement, materials management, and facilities oversight. Senior Management Support Provide high‑level support to senior hospital management in the development and execution of strategic initiatives related to administrative services. Operational Excellence Lead the managerial functions across various critical areas, including: General Administration Domestic and Supportive Services Procurement and Materials Management Laundry and Linen Supply Services Community and Media Relations Coordination Green Management Act as a key liaison between diverse departments, fostering collaborative relationships to ensure seamless operations and service delivery. Oversight of Accreditation Oversee hospital accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and continuous improvement in service quality. Crisis Management Develop and implement strategies for emergency preparedness, ensuring the organization is equipped to respond effectively to unforeseen circumstances. Additional Duties Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager, contributing to the overall success of the Administrative Services Division. Requirements A university degree or equivalent in a relevant field. A minimum of fifteen years of progressive experience in hospital administration, with a proven track record in both public and private hospital settings. Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and handle on‑call duties as needed. Extensive practical experience in managing a diverse range of administrative functions within a hospital environment. Proven expertise in hospital accreditation processes and standards. Strong team player with exceptional collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams. Excellent strategic and operational management capabilities. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
