About The Role As an Assistant Chief Engineer , you will maintain and repair all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities Assist Director of Engineering in managing the daily operation of the Department and supervise the Engineering Team to provide repairs and maintenance services for all locations and facilities within the Hotel premises. Execute first-line repairs against job orders and routine maintenance for the Hotel’s equipment and facilities. Maintain up-to-date maintenance record systems for all preventive maintenance and repairs performed in the Hotel. Conduct regular inspections of the Hotel and plant rooms to ensure all facilities are reliable, functional, and maintained in a tidy and safe condition. Ensure reliable operation of equipment and effective performance of all life safety systems within the Hotel. Support the Department Head in formulating preventive maintenance strategies and implementation plans for building E&M systems. Monitor contractors’ work and liaise with relevant parties to supervise projects and renovations. Conduct training in emergency procedures and system operation for the team in alignment with related fire, life and safety policies. About You Degree in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. At least 5 years of solid experience in facility management, including 2 years at managerial level. Knowledge of facility management, fire safety, FF&E, and ability to handle in-house projects. Strong leadership, organizational, multi‑tasking and problem‑solving skills.
