About The Role As an Underwriting Specialist, your role will serve as a vital link between our team and our customers, actively engaging with them to provide updates and address any concerns regarding their applications. You will also assess and approve new business applications in line with our company’s service standards, underwriting guidelines, and delegated authority. Your Key Responsibilities Include Proactively contact customers through multiple channels (phone calls, WhatsApp, email, etc.) to guide them through the underwriting process and ensure clear, timely communication. Handle and resolve customer queries related to their applications and health declarations promptly and professionally. Perform thorough risk assessments on individual new business applications in strict accordance with the company’s underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, service standards, and personal authority limits. During customer interactions, identify and implement opportunities to improve the underwriting experience.
