ASTRI was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research. Its core R&D competence is grouped under five Technology Divisions: Communications Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies, Advanced Electronic Components and Systems, IoT Sensing and AI Technologies, and Intelligent Perception and Control Technologies. ASTRI’s innovations are applied across six core areas: Smart City, Financial Technologies, New Industrialisation and Intelligent Manufacturing, Digital Health, Application Specific Integrated Circuits, and Metaverse. Job Responsibilities Develop a thorough understanding of ASTRI's capabilities and innovations to identify industry or government pain points and explore how ASTRI's capabilities and IP may lead to new R&D projects that provide solutions. Explore licensing and commercialisation opportunities of ASTRI's comprehensive IP suite and facilitate them by engaging system integrators in the ecosystem. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to strategise and build pipelines of research/collaboration projects with different clients. Participate in the preparation and follow‑up of those projects. Leverage existing connections to develop and grow the client base in the targeted sectors. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above with a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or R&D in the technology sector. An engineering/science background is a plus. Candidates with less experience will also be considered for a Manager role. Experienced in sales and business development with a track record of building and growing customer bases for large enterprises. Strong sales, pitching and stakeholder management skills. Good understanding of new technology areas such as FinTech, IoT, 5G, Big Data, Cybersecurity, generative AI, LLM, LVLM AI agent, etc. Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset. Independent self‑starter with a sales‑oriented, meticulous personality, an aggressive working attitude and a strong desire to succeed. Good command of English and Chinese; fluent Putonghua is a plus. Experience working on or with R&D projects is preferred. Live the ASTRI values. The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance‑linked variable pay. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical coverage, insurance coverage and contribution to MPF. The incumbent will normally work a five‑day week.
