Duties To be responsible for the new CSD headquarters network infrastructure implementation project, LCKRC computer room relocation project and HKCSA redevelopment project including site preparation, network cabling, implementation and user acceptance. To collaborate with users, IT project teams, ArchSD and EMSD, and provide technical advice on network implementation of NAH in Kai Tak Development Area and new District Court at Caroline Hill Road to ensure that the requirements of CSD can be met. To assist applications teams and various support teams in ongoing or project-based network related issue in the areas of feasible study, analysis and design, sizing, procurement, implementation and testing. To evaluate and apply firmware updates and software patches for all network related devices and systems. To co-ordinate and collaborate with contractors, users, application teams and various support teams for proper scheduling and implementation of network related task. To provide round the clock first-line and/or second-line technical support for network infrastructure whenever there are problems in network related incident. To prepare the requirement specifications for networking hardware and software, and network implementation services. To carry out any other duties as assigned by Systems Manager or Contract Project Manager. Yrs of Total Post-Quali Exp 6.0 Yrs of Relevant Exp 3.0 Requirements Solid knowledge and good technical skill for equipment of Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Imperva, Fortigate, Solarwinds and etc. At least 2 years of hand‑on experience in Cisco/ Huawei/ H3C router and switches configuration and technical support. Good communication and skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese or English, preference given to those good at both. Overtime and on‑call work is required when necessary. Working at the remote correctional facilities for provision of support services as and when required. Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required. Technical Skills At least 2 years' experience in CISCO IOS Software & CISCO Products (CIP) At least 2 years' experience in Huawei VRP & Huawei Products (HAU) At least 2 years' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) At least 2 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF) At least 2 years' experience in Metro Ethernet (MET) At least 2 years' experience in Router Configuration (ROU) At least 2 years' experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN) At least 2 years' experience in Wide Area Network (WAN) 1 year's experience in Wireless Technology (WLT) is an advantage 1 year's experience in Network Design (NDN) is an advantage Non-technical Skills Good coordination skills is a must At least 2 years' experience in site preparation (SPE) At least 1 year's experience in vendor management (VMG) At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV) At least 1 year's experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) 1 year's experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage Education Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent Experience At least 6 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
