Position Overview Moody’s Ratings (MR) is seeking a seasoned and visionary executive to lead its Structured Finance business across the Asia Pacific region (APAC) and join our global structured finance leadership team. Skills and Competencies Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture and translate market dynamics into actionable strategies Influential Communication: Strong presence and credibility with senior stakeholders, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and persuasively Market Expertise: Deep understanding of structured finance instruments, APAC market nuances, and global regulatory environments Operational Discipline: Proven track record of driving efficiency, quality, and compliance in complex, matrixed organizations Technological Acumen: Comfort with emerging technologies and data tools, with a mindset for innovation and digital enablement Inclusive Leadership: Commitment to building diverse inclusive teams, fostering collaboration, and mentoring future leaders Analytical Rigor: High standards for analytical integrity and research excellence Risk Awareness: Proactive approach to identifying and managing risks in dynamic market conditions Responsibilities Define and implement the APAC Structured Finance strategy, positioning Moody’s as a global leader and anticipating market trends across asset classes Ensure timely, policy-compliant ratings and research with high analytical quality and responsiveness to regulatory and market developments Build strong relationships with issuers, investors, intermediaries, regulators, and policymakers; represent Moody’s at industry forums with thought leadership Drive standardization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives, integrating AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies Champion innovative tools and platforms to future‑prove analytical capabilities and enhance decision‑making Build and nurture an inclusive, high‑performing team; promote mentorship, continuous learning, and readiness for digitally enabled analytics Oversee structured finance research and outreach strategy to enhance visibility and credibility across APAC and global markets Monitor global and regional risks in structured finance markets and provide strategic insights for sustainable growth About the Team Within Moody’s Ratings, the Structured Finance team is a critical part of the global credit market and plays a pivotal role in assessing credit risk across consumer and corporate assets, covered bonds, and private credit. With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo, the APAC Structured Finance team delivers ratings, research, and market engagement across a dozen distinct asset classes, leveraging deep analytical expertise and collaborative innovation.
