Job Description Garden House Waldorf School is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, certified and experienced German teacher with the skills to teach across multiple grade levels and a strong commitment to contributing to our dynamic Waldorf community. A German teacher in a Waldorf school is not just teaching a language—they are opening windows to a new culture, stimulating intellectual and emotional growth, and contributing to the holistic development of the child in alignment with the core values of Waldorf education. This role is vital in helping students become well-rounded and globally aware individuals. Requirements Fluency in German (native-level proficiency preferred). Fluency in English. Experience in teaching German, preferably in a Waldorf or similar educational setting. Familiarity with Waldorf education principles and a willingness to deepen your understanding of anthroposophy. A teaching credential or equivalent qualification is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset. Responsibilities Teach German language and culture to students across various grade levels in alignment with Waldorf pedagogy. Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that integrate storytelling, movement, art, and music. Foster a love for the German language through creative and immersive teaching methods. Collaborate with other faculty members to align curriculum and contribute to the life of the school. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development. Skills and Values Fluency in German and English (native-level proficiency preferred). Enthusiasm, patience, receptiveness to learning, a positive mindset, willingness to support colleagues, and openness to taking on new challenges.
