Deputy General Manager – Corporate, Financial & Technology Communications Firm (HONG KONG) About the role A leading strategic communications consultancy firm is currently seeking a talented Deputy General Manager to cover Hong Kong & Greater China. This role will work alongside the firm’s Managing Partner in Hong Kong and assist in developing the firm’s business solutions across Greater China. The firm is a market leader in providing strategic communications and consultancy on reputation management across Corporate Issues, Public Affairs, Financial Communications, and technology communications. The ideal candidate should have the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with a commercial mindset, knowing how to hunt “new business” and “farm” existing clients. Additionally, the candidate will provide counsel to clients and build strong teams. Key Responsibilities Lead P&L responsibilities and advance the firm’s Public Relations offering alongside its other advisory practices. Lead client development and new business initiatives for listed and non‑listed companies across PR, social, and thought leadership. Serve as day‑to‑day contact for some of the firm’s largest clients in local and regional markets. Manage team leads on client projects, ensuring timely and high‑quality deliverables across Greater China. Advise clients on critical issues, brand reputation and challenging financial situations. Create innovative communication strategies and plans to drive client business growth. Develop and manage the firm’s media relations and media database. About the Candidate Minimum 10 + years of experience in corporate public relations, or investor relations with significant time spent in a leadership role. Experience in the mainland China market a PLUS. Experience working with clients in financial services and technology is also a MUST. Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to think and write creatively and strategically. Proficiency in written and spoken ENGLISH and CHINESE is a must as this role has both global and regional elements. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and creative spirit.
