Location: Hong KongBusiness Area: News and MediaRef #:  We are looking for a Senior Editor to help elevate our Economy and Government coverage across South and Southeast Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand. The successful candidate will have a track record of editing ambitious, award‑worthy stories, from quickly turning around memorable enterprise and analysis off major breaking news to helming deeper investigative stories that can take weeks or months to report. You will have experience working across a range of platforms and formats, constantly looking for new and innovative ways to tell stories, and will also be expected to help out with daily coverage as needed. Role responsibilities include: Help reporters cultivate ideas and execute on major enterprise across South and Southeast Asia and Australia. Pitch in wherever needed on stories big and small. Work closely with other platforms to elevate coverage, including graphics, Bloomberg Originals, podcasts, television, newsletters, etc. Work seamlessly with managers and other editors to help elevate the coverage. Promote diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage. Build influential relationships across the newsroom to ensure our coverage captures the context of local developments and resonates globally. Required qualifications and experience: At least 7 years of experience in business journalism. Experience working in a real‑time news environment. Experience editing politics and/or economy stories. Ability to make sound news decisions quickly. Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Ability to generate original story ideas and see them through. Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization. Experience with features and story graphics. Previous leadership experience. Bachelor’s degree or degree‑equivalent qualifications.
