Position Descriptionh3> Reporting to Procurement Manager, the incumbent will lead and manage procurement requests and projects for CAPEX/production/technical (IT & non-IT) supplies, including goods & services. He/she supports the procurement related requests/projects & contract development for HX-HKG and other group companies in Hong Kong. What You'll Do Act as project manager / subject expert to assigned category(ies) and projects to ensure effective communication on projects & sourcing requests to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations. Conduct cost saving studies and make recommendations on development. Assist procurement manager to manage procurement activities of the assigned categories. Act as the key buyer and subject matter expert for responsible categories, including vendor selection, proposal evaluation, developing and negotiating contract terms & conditions. Additionally, manage the contract execution process, resolve problems, mitigate delays, mediate disputes and escape issues. Monitor the performance of the agreements and the overall relationship with vendors, providing constructive feedback to suppliers for better performance and future development. Handle daily procurement duties, execute projects and lead tender exercises and contract development in a transparent, fair and professional way. Provide input and execute the mid‑term to long‑term procurement strategies. Collaborate with teams and influence relevant stakeholders effectively. Initiate and lead projects at both local & regional levels, such as market research, benchmarking exercises, information analysis and contract development, to facilitate understanding of supply base and market trends. Lead the assigned taskforces/working teams for procurement related studies and/or process improvement. Job Requirements & Competencies Lead projects and facilitate the team with high quality of work and implementation of good procurement practices & control. Resolve operation problems, enhance cross‑team communication and review key supplier performance. Lead projects or act as contract manager for purchase recommendations & decisions with a longer term and higher financial impact to the company and the group. Carry out strategic analysis on data for development of cost saving opportunities and execution of proper risk management. Be actively involved in staff engagement initiatives and process improvement projects. Qualification & Experience Recognized degree in any discipline, business/management related an advantage. Professional qualification in procurement & supply is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience. Product and market knowledge in related category of purchases is an advantage.
