My client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager (Network Infrastructure) to play a key role in the design, operation, and optimisation of a large-scale network, with particular emphasis on BGP-based routing, high availability, and resilient internet connectivity. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of campus routing architecture, with a strong focus on BGP (including peering, route policies, traffic engineering, and failover design) and OSPF in a multi-vendor environment. Manage day‑to‑day BGP and core routing operations: monitor route stability, troubleshoot routing incidents, analyse routing tables and path selection, and coordinate with ISPs and internet exchange partners. Own end‑to‑end internet edge and data‑centre connectivity design, including redundancy, load sharing, route filtering, prefix management, and protection against BGP‑related threats (e.g. hijacking, route leaks). Lead campus Wi‑Fi and wired network projects (preferably Aruba) from a routing and backbone perspective, ensuring optimal network segmentation, performance, and policy enforcement. Oversee network infrastructure projects covering core/wired networks, cybersecurity and system upgrades, ensuring that BGP and routing changes are properly designed, tested, and documented. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/ISPs on network design reviews, BGP peering configurations, maintenance windows, and capacity planning. Implement and maintain network security controls related to routing, including integration with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and route‑based policies. Maintain accurate technical documentation: L2/L3 network diagrams, BGP/OSPF design documents, routing policies, peering agreements, and operational playbooks. Provide clear communication to management and stakeholders on network health, major incidents, routing changes, and improvement plans. Qualifications & Experience Recognised degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT or related discipline. Minimum 8 years’ post‑qualification experience, with at least 5 years managing large‑scale campus or enterprise networks, including hands‑on BGP and OSPF design and operations. I. BGP and OSPF network management (route policies, peering, traffic engineering, redundancy design). II. Wi‑Fi system design, migration and implementation in large environments. III. Firewalls, VPNs, load balancers and network security in routed environments. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, particularly in diagnosing complex routing and performance issues. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua), able to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
