Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) has been Asia's premier commercial satellite operator since our incorporation in 1988. Role Overview The Senior Vice President will report to the CEO and Chief Commercial Officer and spearhead commercial opportunities for the International Sales team and business development. Responsibilities Oversee the International Sales team with focus on defining strategy, planning and delivery of the company’s group‑wide strategic initiatives. Accountable for the company’s revenue goals and manage sales pipelines to allow accurate forecasting of existing solutions and services. Spearhead business activities and be responsible for formulating overall strategy and initiatives within AsiaSat. Identify potential new business opportunities, acquisition targets, negotiate with partners, form joint ventures when appropriate, and lead the effort in building business plans taking into account necessary licences and permissions. Manage the project team internally with sales, technical and finance departments, and external resources to work effectively. Present and submit proposals and recommendations to the Management Team on acquisitions and new businesses. Manage subsidiaries to ensure smooth transitions, revenue growth and profitability under transformation initiatives. Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory regime, technology innovation, new commercial products, competitors’ solutions and development in order to assess market environment and potential partnership and investment opportunities in media business. Lead activities for ad‑hoc projects identified by the management team of AsiaSat. Requirements Bachelor degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 20 years in the satellite industry with 10 years of customer management or business development experience. Good knowledge in the telecoms, media and satellite industry is a must. Strong understanding of satellite technology trends and media business to identify and predict customer needs and execute action plans to deliver results. A strong team player able to work with various team members in management and support staff. Ability to provide sector‑focused advice on the sale process from strategic positioning to completion. Able to analyze acquisition targets, familiar with JV structures and operation in the global market. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with good presentation skills; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage. Ability to operate within a high‑pressure environment under tight deadlines. High level of personal integrity and adherence to a strict company code of conduct. Extensive travel is required.
