Contract Systems Analyst (Bid Ref 56671-1) Vacancy: 1 | Department: Correctional Services Department – Integrated Technology Section, 27/F Wanchai Tower, Wanchai | Deadline: 08 Dec 2025 | Contract: 03 Feb 2026 – 31 Jan 2027 (11 months) Project Nature Provide ongoing maintenance support to the departmental and internet‑facing network and the Video Conference Infrastructure System (VCIS). Maintain, enhance and upgrade the existing network infrastructure of the Correctional Services Department. Duties Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full‑time second to serve the CSD. In‑charge of VCIS technical support. Provide ongoing system maintenance of all networking hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, Wi‑Fi controller/AP, DNS appliance, VPN gateway, network monitoring systems, etc.). Assist applications and support teams in ongoing or project‑based network issues – study, analysis, design, sizing, procurement, implementation, testing. Evaluate and apply firmware updates and software patches for all network‑related devices. Coordinate with contractors, users and application teams for scheduling and implementation of network tasks. Provide round‑the‑clock first‑line or second‑line technical support for network infrastructure incidents. Prepare requirement specifications for networking hardware/software and implementation services. Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements Solid knowledge and technical skill for equipment such as Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Fortigate and SolarWinds. Hands‑on experience with Cisco/Huawei/H3C router and switch configuration and technical support. Good written and verbal communication in Chinese and English. Overtime and on‑call work required. Willing to work at remote correctional facilities for support services. Integrity check by HKPF required. Technical Skills At least 3 years experience in Cisco IOS Software & Cisco Products (CIP). At least 3 years experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW). At least 3 years experience in Router Configuration (ROU). At least 3 years experience in Virtual Private Network (VPN). At least 3 years experience in Wide Area Network (WAN). At least 2 years experience in Video Conference Technology (VCT). At least 2 years experience in Network Design (NDN). At least 2 years experience in Wireless Technology (WLT) is an advantage. At least 1 year experience in Huawei VRP & Huawei Products (HAU) is an advantage. Non‑technical Skills Good coordination skills. At least 2 years experience working with government (GOV). At least 2 years experience in site preparation (SPE). At least 1 year experience in vendor management (VMG). 2 years experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures (GPD) is an advantage. 1 year experience in IT procurement (PRO) is an advantage. Qualifications Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
