Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Strategic Research Lead to join their high-impact Strategic Research Group . This team delivers bespoke, data-driven insights that directly support client engagements, business development, and strategic initiatives across the firm. Purpose The Strategic Research Lead drives high-impact, bespoke research and analysis to support client teams, business development, and strategic initiatives across the global firm. Embedded within the business, the role is pivotal in identifying opportunities, shaping strategy, and contributing directly to revenue generation. Focus areas may include AI, FinTech, and Private Capital. Key Responsibilities Research & Analysis Deliver deep, timely insights through sector, client, and financial analysis. Lead large-scale research projects from scoping to delivery. Develop branded reports and thought leadership content. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with partners, BD teams, and fee earners. Promote SRG services globally and present findings to senior stakeholders. Mentor colleagues and contribute to training initiatives. Product & Resource Management Act as sector and product expert, leveraging tools like Capital IQ, Pitchbook, FactSet, LSEG. Evaluate and recommend third-party data providers and internal resource investments. Collaborate with Practice Librarians for partner inductions. Key Requirements Experience & Skills 5-7 years in research/data analysis background in Consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG); Banks or Private Equity, Law firms, large Listed Corporates. Strong writing, numerical, and visualization skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Power BI a plus). Strategic mindset with commercial acumen. Proficiency in financial databases and modeling. Advanced Capabilities Ability to interpret raw data and present actionable insights. Experience in investment banking products and sector trends. Trusted to deliver strategic research to senior stakeholders. Strong strategic thinking and deep-dive research capabilities. Ability to identify market gaps and uncapped segments. Experience presenting to senior stakeholders (partners, BD heads). Stable career history preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
