Purpose of the role The role is responsible for day-to-day media liaison and project management within accounts. As the most media-focused role within the Client Servicing team, it will thrive on successfully pitching clients’ stories to the media, integrating social media into PR campaigns, and communicating effectively with clients, teams, and media contacts. Key Responsibilities and Tasks Client Management Assist Campaign Managers and Campaign Directors with management of clients and projects. Offer thoughtful advice and recommendations regarding media strategy, tactics, and opportunities. Maintain assigned relationships with clients, establishing TEAM LEWIS as an invaluable long-term partner. Manage communication with select clients and ensure deadlines and service agreements are met. Participate in the business development process by supporting pitch preparation and research. Media Relations Understand and monitor the news agenda, positioning clients within the broader narrative. Directly pitch engaging content to journalists, bloggers, and analysts on an ongoing basis. Assist in the management of press/analyst tours, briefings, and meetings. Review and refine campaign programmes at a tactical level, ensuring ongoing relevance. Deploy rapid response to breaking news on behalf of clients. Research, identify, and approach appropriate media contacts. Secure standing opportunities such as columns and Q&As on industry and national platforms. Continuously build a solid understanding of the media landscape across national, regional, and industry-specific channels. Attend and coordinate industry events to grow and strengthen the TEAM LEWIS media network. Content Draft a broad range of written materials: biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&As, backgrounders, and boilerplates. Create press materials and compelling content for both traditional and digital media. Develop briefing sheets that help clients during press briefings. Find good news angles or hooks and continuously improve writing style. Work with content specialists to maintain high quality across all content. Provide feedback and guidance on content drafted by Campaign Executives/Coordinators. Digital / Social Media Use social media platforms to expand networks, develop media relationships, and enhance client results. Pitch additional digital content (infographics, animations, video) to support written content and client aims. Explore new tools, solutions, and processes to continuously evolve and optimise PR campaigns. Provide social media insight and manage related digital activity. Collaborate with the digital team to increase utilisation of digital services. Team Working and Development Mentor and advise graduates and Campaign Executives. Ensure personal objectives and client deliverables are met on an ongoing basis. Accurately report activity levels and complete timesheets. Work closely with line manager to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses, and support career development. Support training of graduates and interns. Attend TEAM LEWIS training sessions and press briefings. Reporting and Analysis Track and report media activity, coverage reports, press clippings, and online engagement. Review reports prepared by Campaign Executives/Coordinators. Ensure account activity and results are reported to senior managers and during account reviews. Provide reports to the Campaign Director or senior management on request. General Support the Client Servicing team on initiatives and projects. Promote the TEAM LEWIS brand, work, identity, and values. Support HR/talent team by promoting internal and external opportunities on social media. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, practices, and policies. About You Relevant experience at a B2B, corporate, consumer, or digital communications agency. Attention to detail. Proven written ability in English and local languages. Creative thinking. Understanding of client business issues and requirements. Highly developed presentation skills. Thorough knowledge of print and broadcast media. Understanding of market research and analysis. Ability to motivate and lead a team. Ability to delegate effectively. Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines. Ability to interact confidently at board level with clients.
