Solution Lead – Cargo

Key Responsibilities Support pre‑project consulting and capture business requirements for upcoming initiatives Communicate business direction and recommend commercially and technically viable solutions Collaborate with developers and architects to design and implement IT products and applications Plan, develop, and maintain applications, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle Act as an escalation point for solution analysts and drive improvements in IT practices Stay updated on technology trends and apply best practices to solutions Manage small to medium‑scale projects, including planning, execution, and testing (security, performance, integration) Oversee day‑to‑day activities of development teams and external vendors; contribute to resource planning Participate in Agile teams, manage Solution Analysts, and act as an SME when needed Provide mentorship and coaching to Solution Analysts to enhance team capability Requirements Degree in Information Technology or related discipline (Master’s preferred) 8+ years of IT experience across software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition, and testing Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven client‑facing experience and relationship management (preferred) Professional, innovative, self‑motivated, and able to present solutions to diverse stakeholders Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills using logic and creativity Demonstrated troubleshooting ability to identify patterns and generate ideas Airline or travel industry knowledge (highly beneficial) Solid software development skills (highly beneficial) Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments and deliver results under pressure Application Information Cathay Pacific is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
