Job Overview Sha Tin College, an international school for 11‑18‑year‑olds with 1,200 students, seeks a Teacher of Science with Maths (DP Science Specialism) starting August 2026. The role requires a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who exemplifies professional practice and supports the school’s guidance and co‑curricular work. Responsibilities Provide learning opportunities for every student commensurate to their needs, abilities and stage of development. Establish effective, positive relationships with students based on mutual respect and cultural identity. Create a safe, effective, challenging learning environment and an attractive, welcoming classroom. Teach scheduled lessons, including setting and marking work. Assess, record and report on student development, progress and attainment. Co‑operate with other staff on course preparation, teaching resources and assessment methods. Maintain discipline and safeguard student health and safety. Stay current on teaching and international educational developments and share enthusiasm with colleagues. Attend professional development programmes, participate in INSET courses, and attend professional meetings as required. Cover absent teachers and support students’ preparations for public examinations. Perform pastoral duties, supervision and other responsibilities assigned by the Principal. Contribute to the co‑curricular programme. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Education or in the relevant subject with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent. 1–3 years of teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation.
