QA Director

Responsibilities Own full accountability for quality performance across CNC machining, stamping, die-casting, surface finishing (anodizing, PVD, etc.), and final assembly of precision metal parts. Lead a team of QA/QC professionals, including incoming quality, in-process control, final inspection, supplier quality, and customer quality engineering. Drive continuous "zero escape" quality culture while achieving aggressive PPM and yield targets required by flagship smartphone, tablet, wearable, and laptop programs. Oversee advanced quality systems: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D problem‑solving, and full compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer‑specific requirements. Act as the primary quality interface with strategic customers during NPI, audits, quarterly business reviews, and on‑site visits. Champion adoption of Industry 4.0 quality tools (AOI, 3D CT scanning, automated optical inspection, real‑time SPC dashboards). Manage supplier quality development and performance for raw materials, plating, and outsourced processes. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Minimum 10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in metal manufacturing (CNC, MIM, stamping, die‑casting, or anodizing). Proven track record as Head/Director of Quality for Tier‑1 suppliers serving flagship consumer electronics programs. Deep expertise in cosmetic and functional defect classification, GD&T, GR&R, and high‑volume appearance standards. Strong command of customer‑specific quality systems (e.g., CSQP, QMS audits, change management, SCAR processes). Experience leading large quality teams in mainland China with fluency in Mandarin and English. Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification highly desirable.
