Project Officer (Art Promotion, Contract) conduct research and assist in the organisation of exhibitions and programmes; manage gallery operational and logistics work for exhibitions and programmes; manage ambassador services including recruiting, training, scheduling roster, and handling payments and performance monitoring for ambassadors; liaise and coordinate work with appointed contractors, working partners, artists, performers and other organisations/ institutions; draft, edit and proofread bilingual texts for exhibitions and programmes including preparation of research reports, copywriting, editing and translation; prepare designs and drawings with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; design motion graphics and animation; assist with online programmes and publicity on social media platforms; prepare publicity materials for various e-channels and printed media; monitor project Facebook, Instagram and other social media account when required; provide photo taking, video shooting and editing for artworks and programmes; prepare tour scripts and host guided tours, workshops and fringe activities, to engage the public and facilitate public understanding of the programmes: provide logistic support as assigned; assist in equipment and storage management; Qualification / Requirements Bachelor Degree or above, or equivalent, with a major in Visual Art, Art History, Creative Media, Cultural Studies, Cultural Management, Design, Fashion, Translation, Chinese Language, English Language, or any related subject. At least 1 year of full-time working experience in local museum, art or cultural organisation, responsible for organising, managing and coordinating art exhibitions, art projects or conducting researches on art and community art projects, as well as related administration work. Experience in graphic design, translation and editing and docent/ ambassador management is preferred. Level 4 or above in English Language and Chinese Language of the HKDSEE. Effective computer knowledge skills including MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and Chinese word processing. Experience with AI tools, graphic design, video editing, printing production and publishing tools is an advantage. Effective knowledge and skills in managing and taking photos and videos for social media platforms, information technology and website is preferable. Proficient in using online media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and electronic devices. Great interest in contemporary art and related subjects; knowledge about local and international artists; be creative with a good sense of design and aesthetics. Able to work independently and systematically, good research and time management skills, self-motivated to handle and complete tasks on time and within tight deadlines. Preferable to have customer service experience and effective interpersonal and communication skills in handling enquiries and complaints.
