Associate Director, BI and Data Analytics

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage BI & Data Analytics team through identifying initiatives and opportunities, developing strategic plans and roadmaps to support business and growth strategies.
  • Oversee and manage all BI (Operational Analysis, Dashboard, Enterprise Data Hub, Data Orchestration), MDM, CDP and ML/AI/GenAI data applications and implementation of projects that contribute to the improvement and standardization of the business, technology infrastructure and/or systems and applications in alignment with business and user needs.
  • Enable data monetization by delivering high-quality data via EDH, MDM and CDP, to enterprise and operation solutions that deliver innovative data-backed hospitality services and marketing activities.
  • Manage and prioritize business demands according to top-level business direction, and prepare cost/benefit analysis and suggest roadmap for approval.
  • Manage the design principles and blueprints and ensure architecture and technologies implemented are aligned to global standards and support the business objectives.
  • Deliver large scale organizational transformation projects on a Global scale, working closely with stakeholders such as key business leaders, Senior Executives, and various functional teams within IT organization to achieve strategic goal of transforming into a data-driven organization.
  • Manage vendors and have operational oversight for delivering innovative, effective and sustainable solutions and ensure design aligned with IT standards.
  • Work with business to offer value-adding advices in utilizing data to optimize revenue and process efficiencies. Proactively communicate with business stakeholders to co-form business plans that involve data collection and utilization.
  • Mobilize large teams and drive both internal and external parties to commit to their work responsibility and project deadline.

About you:

  • 10+ years of experience in Application Implementation and Management role, preferably with consulting and project manager experience with Regional/Global exposure in sizable companies.
  • 8+ years of solid experience in data technology projects implementation such as Big Data Platform (AWS, Databricks), Data Integration, Data Lake, EDW (Snowflake), ETL/ELT (Alteryx) and BI.
  • Hospitality, Retail, ERP, CRM, or E-Commerce working experience is preferable.
  • Proven track record of managing large scale data/BI projects and business process re-engineering.
  • Strong business acumen in the area of digital transformation, operation, E-Commerce, CRM, Finance and Marketing.
  • Strong analytical mindset and able to manage complexity with good problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and people skills, enjoy hosting and presenting in front of big group.
  • High attention to detail and attentive to risk.
  • Ability to manage a team of global resources (HK, Malaysia, India and PRC) and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks which require analysis and action.
  • Ability to work well with employees and user community at all levels of the company, especially with senior business leaders.
  • A good team player and have strong management skill and experience.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Flexible to travel.
