Verified Metrics is a global SaaS company building a highly automated financial intelligence platform. We are hiring five exceptional Physics graduates to join our engineering team in Hong Kong. Prior professional software experience is not required. Intellectual rigor is. What You Will Do From day one, you will be trained as a systems-focused backend engineer, not a UI tinkerer. System Design: Work closely with our CTO to design and reason about complex data models and workflows. AI-Augmented Development: Use advanced AI coding tools to translate precise logic into production-grade code. Engineering Relay: Operates in a 24-hour development cycle-building in Hong Kong, reviewed and extended by the European team. Our Technology Stack (Why Physicists Thrive Here) We build our core systems on a Lisp-based stack: Clojure + Datomic. This puts us in a very small minority of modern software companies-by choice. Clojure is a functional language centered on immutability, pure transformations, and composability. Programs are expressed as mappings from inputs to outputs, with state treated explicitly rather than hidden behind mutable objects. If you are comfortable reasoning about conserved quantities, invariants, and state transitions, this model will feel natural. Our training program allows physics graduates to become productive software engineers very quickly, often becoming more effective than veteran engineers trained in imperative paradigms.
