Actuarial Manager, Financial Platform

Lead and conduct in-depth technical actuarial work, analysis and modeling activities, trading and financial product including pricing, fund ratio, trading return, valuation, risk assessment and financial projections. Develop and maintain actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies to support business decisions. Effective quantitative methods for assessing and measuring various types of risks, including those in financial and digital currency markets, investment portfolios, and derivatives. Perform experience studies and assumptions setting. Monitor and review loss experience, web 3 and market maker trends, and emerging risks to accurately project future liabilities and maintain adequate reserves. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and guidance on actuarial best practices and financial industry and trading trends. Enhance actuarial intellectual capital by contributing to the development of tools, methodologies, and modeling frameworks. New Product Development and Pricing: Designing financial products or fintech platforms, and determining fees, fund interest rates, and other charges based on risk assessments and statistical models. Risk Assessment and Management: Utilize mathematical and statistical models to evaluate future uncertainties and develop risk management strategies for digital currency platforms. Assist in developing internal actuarial tools to streamline the analysis process. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging actuarial practices, and advancements in actuarial modeling and analytics. Leverage research and industry knowledge to enhance actuarial methodologies and foster innovation within the organization. Maintain and update actuarial models to ensure data integrity and optimal model performance. Support model enhancements in accordance with governance frameworks and industry best practices. Develop and implement actuarial solutions, including modeling frameworks, to address trading fees / commission, risk management, and strategic advisory. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, business analysis, data analysis, investment, or related quantitative field. Fellow actuary with minimum 3 years' relevant work experience (1 year of which were attained after becoming fellow) in financial product, trading, risk and capital management, actuarial practice, or regulatory fields. Possesses relevant work experience in insurance companies, web 3, investment, capital and management consulting firms. Certified by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) in the UK, with preference given to those recognized by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) in North America. Proven expertise in web 3, trading, risk management, and strategic advisory services. Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and supervisory standards, insurance products, asset/liability and capital management, industry practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business. Deep understanding of actuarial principles, methodologies, and tools. Strong analytical and technical skills in actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, or similar) and programming languages commonly used in actuarial work (e.g., R, Python, VBA). Demonstrate initiative, commitment, and Can‑do attitude, self‑starter. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent business and technical writing and presentation abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Fluent in Chinese and English, with brand internationalization sense, able to deliver solutions in both Chinese and English, adapt to cross‑departmental collaboration and communication, Fluent in Mandarin is a huge plus.
