IT Engineer

Major Responsibilities Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Devising and establishing new technology and systems to support the implementation of strategies in the HK Management office. Assist in technical projects in alignment with organisational goals. Managing HK Management office helpdesk matters (internal, external, or both). Manage IT asset inventory, user onboarding/offboarding, account and license administration. Effective delivery of networks, development, backup, operations monitoring and disaster recovery systems and processes of the Management office. Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as minimum downtime as necessary. Working with IT engineers (HK engineers and Central IT engineers) to find solutions to manage business activities. Identifying and eliminating security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase the data security of the foundation’s highly confidential systems. Working closely with management, external vendors and advisors. Handle procurement cases related to IT. Support virtual meetings and large events at the office. Identifying and recommending new technology solutions. Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems. Provide input and data for HK Management Office IT budgeting and forecasting, such as asset lifecycles, license usage and support trends. Implementing IT policies and standards, including proper documentation. Document procedures, knowledge base, and recurring issues for easier future support. Requirements and Qualifications Technical knowledge, understand without being too lost in technical details. 3+ years’ IT support experience (Windows/macOS, office apps, printers, basic networking). Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, Active Directory, and identity/account management. Communication, both written and verbal and need to communicate with technically-minded employees and non-technical colleagues. Analytical mindset to develop and utilize reliable metrics. Understanding of other, non-technical parts of the business. Cooperation and collaboration. Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and justifying. Positive attitude with initiative, drive and ability to work with other IT staffs. IMMEDIATE AVAILABLE is highly preferred.
