Assistant Director of Student Affairs (Ref: ) Reporting to the Deanery, the Director and Associate Director of Student Affairs, the appointee serves as the section head and plays a key role in assisting the Student Affairs Office in developing policies, strategic plans, quality assurance mechanisms and management systems for the provision of student services in the University. Responsibilities The role includes overseeing the planning, development and implementation of various areas of student services with a special focus on student advising, campus life and resources such as new student orientation, first‑year experience programmes, non‑local student services, support to student organisations, student awards, scholarship and student finance, student amenities, etc. The appointee will supervise a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development. Qualifications Applicants should possess: A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline; a higher degree or professional qualification is strongly preferred. Substantial relevant post‑qualification experience. Proven leadership and strong management skills. Good mastery of specialist skills and language proficiency in both English and Chinese. Experience in student affairs / student development service at the tertiary level, committee work, and student liaison and advising will be an advantage. Compensation & Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be on a fixed‑term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s voluntary contributions to the MPF scheme or a contract‑end lump sum payment (up to 15% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits, and, where applicable, housing benefits. The appointee will hold a substantive rank of Senior Student Affairs Officer. Application All applications must be submitted online.
