Image Algorithm Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Image Algorithm Engineer to join our cutting‑edge imaging technology team. You will play a key role in developing advanced algorithms to evaluate and enhance the quality of camera and sensor systems, with applications in smartphones, AR/VR, automotive and smart devices. In this role you will thrive at the intersection of image science, software engineering and applied research, and you will enjoy seeing your code impact real‑world imaging systems. What You’ll Do Design and implement algorithms for image quality analysis, camera calibration, LiDAR testing, AR/VR imaging, and sensor fusion. Develop and validate evaluation metrics and algorithms including: SFR, MTF, OECF, SNR, shading, dynamic range, white balance, color accuracy, distortion, camera intrinsic and extrinsic calibration. Work closely with optical, hardware and software teams to design test systems and simulation environments. Build and maintain software tools for image system testing and validation. Prepare clean, well‑documented code and technical specifications, following industry‑standard practices. Participate in international standards organizations (e.g., ISO, IEEE) and contribute to white papers or conference publications. What We’re Looking For 1+ years of professional experience in image processing or computer vision algorithms. Strong proficiency in C/C++ or MATLAB, with scripting skills in Python. Familiar with Windows‑based development; Linux experience is a plus. Hands‑on experience in at least one of the following is highly preferred: Camera image quality analysis Optical design / simulation ISP pipeline modeling Digital twin or machine vision systems EDA or industrial imaging software Experience with image quality analysis tools is a strong advantage: Imatest, DXOMARK, IQ-Analyzer, or similar platforms. Familiarity with software development best practices (e.g., CMM, Agile, version control). Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn. Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus for communication with R&D centers. Why Join Us?
