About Our Client Our client is a regulatory organization in HK. They are looking for an in-house Counsel to join their regulatory team and focus on enforcement and disciplinary matters. Job Description Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on enforcement actions, disciplinary procedures, and related regulatory matters. Interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure compliance. Enforcement Actions: Manage and oversee the investigation of potential violations, including drafting and reviewing legal documents related to enforcement actions, such as notices, reports, and recommendations. Disciplinary Proceedings: Lead disciplinary processes, including conducting hearings, preparing case files, and representing the organization in disciplinary hearings and appeals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including compliance, investigations, and external parties, to facilitate effective enforcement and address regulatory concerns. Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to enforcement and disciplinary actions, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards. Training and Guidance: Provide training to internal teams on regulatory compliance, enforcement procedures, and best practices in disciplinary matters. Reporting: Prepare reports and updates for senior management and relevant committees on enforcement activities and disciplinary outcomes. The Successful Applicant Qualified lawyer of Hong Kong with a minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation and regulatory gained in reputable law firms Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
