Software Quality Assurance Officer (1-yr contract, renewable) Wan Chai, Wan Chai District, HK 1. Quality Objective Definition: a. Define Quality Objectives: Help establish initial quality goals and benchmarks for the project. b. Identify Key Stakeholder Expectations: Understand and document the quality requirements and expectations of customers and stakeholders. 2. Project Planning: a. Develop the Quality Management Plan: Create a comprehensive plan that outlines the specific quality standards, metrics (e.g., failure rates, defect frequency), and the procedures for inspection and testing. b. Define QC Procedures and Tools: Determine the specific inspections, tests, measurements (e.g., using calipers, gauges), and statistical methods that will be used during execution to monitor quality. c. Plan Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Establish the process for how quality issues, once identified, will be addressed and prevented from recurring. 3. Requirement Collection and System Design: a. Establish Documentation and Reporting Standards: Define what quality data will be collected, how it will be recorded, and the format for quality reports. b. Allocate Resources: Ensure that the necessary resources, equipment, and personnel for quality control activities are budgeted and available. c. Fine tune requirements collected with implementation team, and coordinate end users with implementation team. 4. Implementation: a. Monitor progress to identify deviations or defects through inspections and testing. Findings are documented and reported to the relevant teams. b. Review test plan and test cases provided by the test team, providing QA feedback to the test team. 5. Testing: a. Assess performance against quality metrics and recommend corrective or preventive actions based on testing results. b. Help in handling change controls raised during UAT phase. 6. Production Preparation and Rollout: a. Ensure final deliverables meet requirements, archive quality documentation, and contribute to lessons learned for future projects. What we're looking for: At least 5 years of working experience in QA; At least 2 government projects experience in QA; Excellent communication and presentation skills in Cantonese and English; Need at least 1 ISTQB core advanced certificate; Proficiency in computer literacy with knowledge in MS Office; Basic knowledge about system development lifecycle; Experience in automated testing is preferred; We offer a competitive remuneration package to the right candidate as well as an opportunity to grow within the Company.
