Production Reliability Engineer (Trading Systems) – Global Quant Fund - J12389 Pinpoint Asia is exclusively partnering with one of the world’s most sophisticated and fastest‑growing Quantitative Investment Managers . This global firm operates at the intersection of technology, data, and finance, utilizing a scientific approach to invest across all liquid asset classes globally. They are currently seeking a Production Reliability Engineer to join their high‑performance team. This is not a standard "ticket‑closing" support role. It is a strategic 50/50 hybrid position designed for a technologist who wants to combine Production Operations with Software Engineering (Automation) . If you are tired of manual repetition and want to build the tools that run the trading floor, this is the role for you. The Mission: Automate the Floor You will act as the bridge between Trading, Infrastructure, and Development. Your mandate is simple: Keep the systems running today, and write the code that prevents them from failing tomorrow. Responsibilities Reliability & Operations (50%) : Manage the stability of complex, high‑frequency trading systems and data platforms (Market Access, Execution, Risk). Serve as the primary technical investigator for live incidents—troubleshooting data breaks, latency issues, and order routing failures across a hybrid Linux/Windows environment. Perform rigorous health checks before market open to ensure zero‑downtime trading. Design and develop automation tools using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate manual operational workflows. Build monitoring dashboards, alerting scripts, and self‑healing mechanisms. Work closely with Core Engineering to improve CI/CD pipelines and release management procedures. Tech Stack You do not need to be an expert in all of these, but you must be willing to master them: Scripting/Coding: Strong proficiency in Python is highly preferred (for tool building), along with Bash/PowerShell . OS: Mixed environment experience with Linux (Server side) and Windows (Desktop/App side). Data: Solid SQL skills (Postgres / SQL Server)—ability to query complex datasets to find root causes of trade breaks. Cloud/DevOps: Experience with AWS , cloud monitoring, or containerization is a strong plus. Who We Are Looking For The "Fixer-Builder": You have 3+ years of experience in technical support or reliability engineering, ideally within a Trading, FinTech, or Crypto environment. The Polyglot: You are comfortable jumping from a Linux command line to a SQL database to a Python script in the same hour. The Owner: You have a strong sense of ownership. When a system breaks, you don’t just elevate it; you drive the investigation until the root cause is found and patched. The Learner: You are eager to learn about multi‑asset trading (Equities, Futures, Crypto) and the lifecycle of a trade. Why Apply?
