Y our future role at QRT
The specific team you join will be decided considering both your capabilities and the needs of the company throughout the recruitment process. Here are the potential roles you might fill:
Quantitative Developer : within one of our quantitative or discretionary trading desks, you will design, implement, and monitor real-time trading algorithms. You will integrate these algorithms into our live trading platform and build low-latency tools for our trading teams. You will also provide direct support to Researchers and Traders while gaining hands-on experience with low latency trading components, including software, hardware, and systems.
Quantitative Developer - Pricing: you will develop and maintain software solutions that support pricing, payoff calculations, and financial mathematics. You will utilize Python and C++ skills to build robust, efficient, and scalable systems or tools to explore financial models and market data, and further enhance system performance in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Data Technologist : you will be responsible for sourcing, designing, and onboarding new datasets based on trading desk priorities. You will become an expert in internal tools to assist desks with data usage in trading systems production, proactively solve data-related issues to minimize production time, and manage the entire lifecycle of data sourcing projects, including acquisition, exploration, engineering, prototyping, and production.
C++/C# Developer: you will develop ultra-low latency trading system in C++/C# where we work down to nanosecond latencies and interact with low-level technologies like FPGA. You will build out new large-scale data visualization platforms and tools using modern web tools and new data science concepts.
Infrastructure Engineer (Server/Network) : you will help on Intel CPU including overclocking L3 cache configuration, and performance testing production code. You will be testing and benchmarking new bleeding edge tech in our performance lab, with the view of releasing new technology into production that has a genuinely positive and measurable impact to the business, with exposure to Linux, RedHat, Python/C++ development, FPGA, Solarflare, git, Bash, SQL, Networks, AWS Cloud Computing, Network protocols, techniques and technologies, Terraform, Ansible, internal software engineering tools.
Security Analyst: you will implement security measures and assist in incident response to protect QRT's computer systems, networks and data. You will help on monitoring systems, identify potential issues and vulnerabilities, and help coordinate the remediation and follow-up actions.
Your present skillset
- Excellent fundamental computer science skills such as algorithmics, data structures, algorithmic complexity, parallel programming, OOP etc
- Interest in software engineering/infrastructure/data/security engineering in a low latency environment, using C++, C# or Python
- Interest in developing skills in real-time critical trading systems
- Excellent communication and analytical skills - you will interact directly with Traders and Researchers
- Appetite for becoming autonomous quickly, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Rigorous and structured mindset
- Database knowledge such as SQL/NoSQL is a plus
- Front-end development is a plus
- Interest in financial markets/algorithmic trading is a plus
