Associate Director / Director, Procurement (Development) The primary responsibility of the Director, Procurement (Development) is to work with construction management companies, general contractors, sub‑contractors and internal departments to negotiate best‑in‑class contracts and achieve the most favorable results for the organization. The position is located in Hong Kong and will be responsible for the Contracts Administration for multi‑billion dollar integrated resort projects in Macau. Major Responsibilities & Duties Project related Contract Management Approving all sourcing approaches and recommendations for all Construction related work. Construction Management Contracts Design and other Consultant Contracts General Contractors and Sub‑Contractor Contracts Direct‑Buy Contracts Additional Responsibilities understand legal templates and negotiate best‑in‑class terms selection of suitable suppliers and comprehensive supply base management analysis of total cost of ownership summary of procurement recommendations supplier follow‑up and monitor adherence to contract terms knowledge of architectural specifications and ability to understand project plans knowledge of building materials and their limitations knowledge of construction progression and the interrelations of various phases knowledge of the key requirements of local and national building codes ability to put together comprehensive bid documents including statements or work understanding of key contract close out components support the Senior Vice President of Development and his department with all relevant contract negotiations cross‑functional department involvement and close cooperation with Development, Design, Construction, Legal, and Procurement itself Requirements Bachelor Degree in Law or Engineering (or related fields) Over 10 years’ experience in a Purchasing, Contract Management, Construction Management or a related field Ability to perform complex analysis for supplier and material contracts, streamline operational procedures, perform continuous improvement activities, and present project reports to senior management. Knowledge of financial and cost management, contract management, and spreadsheet analysis. Ability to work under stress in a fast‑paced and busy environment. Maintain professional attitude while dealing effectively with management, team members, and suppliers while working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Strong communications; give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve company goals and objectives. Skills with Microsoft Office suite and spreadsheets are essential. Fluency in English is essential, Cantonese and Mandarin is highly preferred.
