Responsibilities Managing and collaborating with F&B counterparts, vendors and suppliers professionally to ensure the successful running of an event; Liaising closely with event organizer to finalize details throughout the entire event co‑ordination process and on‑site management, ensure impressive and excellent customer service and quality delivery of events; Communicating with guests, provide VIP service as required and ensuring client satisfaction through post‑event evaluation and assisting to complete the recurrent business cycle; Monitoring the performance of suppliers and service partners to ensure compliance with hygiene and museum standards; Working with Manager to prepare and update event rules and regulations for events; Developing training materials and training subordinates in proper event handling procedures; Supervising Event Coordination Officer and Assistant while collaborating with Manager to liaise with vendors and suppliers on material required for events; Maintaining good awareness of all museum programs and effectively communicating with different stakeholders through daily/weekly operational meetings; Monitoring the profit and loss of each event to ensure profitability; Ensure billing accuracy and conducting bill reviews with the clients prior to processing; Updating supervisor and senior management on events progress, reporting incidents or emergency in a timely manner in accordance with policy and procedures; Providing suggestions on working procedures, service standards or market trends for future improvement; Managing the content for media publishing of hirer events to ensure alignment with brand image of M+ and WKCDA; Assisting at event sales stage, including logistic suggestions and site inspections to secure potential event leads; Performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by M+. Qualifications Possess a recognized university degree in any discipline; a degree in Business, Marketing or Hospitality / Tourism will be an advantage; Preferably have 5‑6 years relevant experience in event management / co‑ordination in hotel industry and/or venue providers, with at least 1 year in supervisory level; Have knowledge in all aspects of event planning, with creativity and the ability to tailor events to meet client’s needs; Be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua; Be willing to work in flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary.
