Senior Research Analyst – Energy Transition - Group Research Department Add expected salary to your profile for insights Review, collect, and process information from scientific, technical, and market sources Develop and maintain comprehensive databases tracking key metrics across energy transition, chemical processes, and industrial materials Strategic Insights & Problem Solving Leverage solid understanding of business trends, issues, and concepts to efficiently respond to complex research questions Deliver synthesized, actionable facts and insights to support strategic decision-making Develop analytical frameworks to evaluate new technologies and business opportunities Industry & Technical Analysis Monitor and analyze developments in chemical/processing/refinery industry value chains Assess emerging technologies and processes in industrial decarbonization Evaluate competitive landscapes across relevant sectors including chemicals, materials, and energy Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate technical and commercial findings The Person: Master degree or above in Energy/Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Green Energy Technologies, Chemistry, or other relevant field 10 years of experience in consulting, research, or relevant industry roles (Energy, Oil and gas, Green Technologies, industrial materials, chemicals etc.); candidate with less experience could be considered as Research Analyst role. Track record of delivering high‑impact analysis and recommendations In‑depth understanding of development trends in the energy/chemical/refinery industry Strong understanding of industrial processes and technologies Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) Intellectual curiosity and continuous learning mindset Occasional travel to Chinese mainland and overseas is required.
