Senior Chemist/Chemist

Senior Chemist/Chemist (Chemical and Food Testing) Develop and set up pesticides test in food. Develop various chemical tests to enhance laboratory’s capability. Be responsible for the quality of work produced by the laboratory and to ensure the quality management system in compliance with ISO 17025 standard . Be responsible for equipment maintenance and calibration (GC-MS, LC-MSMS etc). Maintain and improve laboratory housekeeping daily operations. Handle Ad hoc issue. Occasionally work on holidays (5-day work per week). Preferred Qualifications Proven expertise in chemical testing method development and validation for pesticide residues in food, aligned with ISO 17025 standards. Proficient in operating and maintaining GC-MS and LC-MS/MS instruments, ensuring high accuracy and reliability. Well‑versed in HOKLAS accreditation and food testing documentation, with R&D experience to advance lab capabilities. Requirements Degree or above in Chemistry / Chemical Technology or related studies. Minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical laboratory testing, with knowledge in HOKLAS (Accredited Food Testing) is preferred. Candidates with experience in R&D chemical laboratory testing is preferred. Experience in operating and performing maintenance for instruments: GC-MS, LC-MSMS. Self‑motivated, fast learner and willing to work overtime. Strong team player and communicator. Candidate with less experience or lower qualification will be considered as Chemist.
