Pattern Maker

About the Role We are looking for a Pattern Maker with a strong balance of traditional craftsmanship and technical garment knowledge to join our studio. This role requires excellent manual pattern‑making expertise and a deep understanding of garment construction, along with the ability to communicate effectively with factories and internal teams. The ideal candidate has experience across both men’s and women’s wear and thrives in a collaborative, design‑driven environment. What you’ll be doing Create accurate first patterns manually based on design sketches, technical drawings, and fitting feedback. Perform grading for multiple sizes while maintaining consistent fit and proportion. Support the end‑to‑end technical development process from concept through to production. Assist in updating technical specifications and documentation throughout the development process. Conduct fit sessions, analyze construction, and ensure product quality and consistency. Provide clear technical communication and instructions to factories and vendors to ensure accurate manufacturing. Collaborate with design, product development teams to optimize product performance and manufacturability. Prepare detailed, production‑ready patterns with complete technical notes. Contribute innovative ideas to improve garment quality, construction efficiency, and fit. Who are we looking for? Proven hands‑on experience in pattern making for both men’s and women’s wear. Proficiency in manual drafting, draping, and garment construction techniques. Strong working knowledge of sewing, stitch properties, and detailed garment finishing. Ability to perform live model fittings and instruct vendors on fit and construction improvements. Experience in garment technical development (open to junior, mid‑level, and senior profiles). Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in resolving technical issues. Excellent communication skills across teams, vendors, and production partners. Background in technical garments is an advantage. Experience in a small fashion studio, atelier, or garment technician role is preferred.
