Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning and Reporting Unit, reporting directly to the Associate Director of the Finance Office. This role is crucial in supporting the financial functions of the University, especially in light of our expansion and the establishment of a new medical school. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budget processes, conducting financial analysis, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading process improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities: Conduct monthly reviews of financial statements, perform variance analysis, and provide insights. Analyze the University's financial data and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to support senior management decision-making. Support the annual budget process, including rolling forecasts and scenario planning. Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize resource allocation and enhance financial performance across the University. Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Participate in ad-hoc finance projects such as system enhancements and process improvements, and undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and a recognized professional accounting qualification. Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in universities, NGOs, or sizable organizations. A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Experience with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems. (Duration: 2 years, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
