Claims Manager – Employee Benefits/Medical Claims Pacific Prime is a global insurance broker established in Hong Kong in 2000. With 17 offices and over 1000 employees around the world, we deliver a wide range of insurance solutions, including group health insurance, employee benefits, property & casualty insurance advice and solutions to individuals, families, and businesses. We are looking for a Claims Manager to oversee the end-to-end claims process, ensuring efficient and client-focused outcomes. You will act as the primary escalation point for external parties, lead a dedicated claims team based in Hong Kong, and deliver outstanding customer service from a brokerage perspective to maintain and strengthen client relationships. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end medical claims processing in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary escalation point for external parties, including clients, insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders to facilitate and resolve complex claims efficiently. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture throughout the claims process. Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, advocating on their behalf and ensuring communication throughout the claims process. Review and evaluate claim documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Negotiate claim settlements with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. Analyse claims trends to enhance processes and improve client satisfaction. Ensure compliance with the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong’s regulations and guidelines. Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate claims records. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in claims management within the insurance industry (preferably with a Hong Kong-based broker or insurer), with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role. Proven people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to manage complex claims, resolve escalations, and maintain strong relationships with insurers and clients. Strong knowledge of Hong Kong’s insurance market, regulations, and practices. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, with fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus). Proven ability to manage multiple claims efficiently under tight deadlines.
