Description Department / Unit : Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Closing Date : Until the post is filled The Department is looking for a high‑calibre professional for the post of Professor (Clinical) in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Applicants should have (i) a medical qualification (approved for registration with The Medical Council of Hong Kong); (ii) a solid relevant post‑registration experience; (iii) full training and a higher qualification in otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery; (iv) expertise in a relevant subspecialty in otorhinolaryngology or head and neck surgery; (v) experience in and commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching; (vi) good track record of research funding and productivity as evidenced by high‑impact peer‑reviewed publications; (vii) outstanding academic administration skills and leadership in research development; and (viii) evidence of collaborative interactions. The appointee will (a) undertake clinical professional teaching for the undergraduate curriculum and postgraduate professional training; (b) conduct clinical research and collaborative research projects; (c) provide clinical service; (d) mentor junior doctors and researchers; and (e) assume major academic and administrative leadership roles. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
